A filmmaker couple desired to have an existing 40-year old house renovated and extended to become both studio and home whilst maintaining a clear separation between the two functions. The structure was expanded outward to accommodate the additional functions. The home took a French-Colonial character while the studio referenced Japanese design to respect the family's history. Construction is due to be completed in 2023.
